Conical spring
Series FMS601 is a single conical-spring, unbalanced seal with an O-ring for secondary sealing. Torque transmission is through the single coil spring, so the seal is direction-dependent; right- and left-handed springs are available for clockwise and anticlockwise shafts. Applications include submersible, sewage, chemical-transfer and water pumps.

Series FMS101 is an unbalanced single-acting helical coil spring seal, independent of direction of rotation. The drive ring's notch design eliminates overstressing of the elastomer bellows. Slippages are eliminated, protecting the shaft and sleeve from fretting. The seal can be repaired in the field with minimum spares, minimizing downtime cost.

Lip seal
Rotary applications have specific requirements, including keeping the seal stationary in the gland and resisting rotational forces at the seal/shaft interface. Rotary lip seals use an anti-rotation feature and maintain shaft contact to create a positive seal. Eclipse PTFE-based ET materials provide a low-friction solution for long seal life.

Cartridge seal
The Series FMS2001 is a simple-to-install, unitized cartridge-mounted, balanced, multiple-spring mechanical seal that requires no measuring for installation. The seal faces are protected from damage and contamination by dirt and foreign particles. Slide the seal onto the shaft, bolt down the gland, tighten the set screws and remove the location plate; the gland positions the seal faces for maximum protection.
Dry seal
Series FMS3001 is designed as a dry-running seal for corrosive services. These seals do not require lubricant or quenching for cooling. They are used for mixers, agitators and reactors, including sanitary applications where product contamination from barrier fluids is unacceptable.
Agitator seal
Series FMS4001 agitator seals are designed for severe services, including products emitting highly toxic vapours during reaction processes. The compact, unitized cartridge assembly is easy to install and is independent of direction of rotation. These seals require cooling and quenching for better performance.
Split seal
Series FMS5001 is a split mechanical seal developed with minimum components for large-diameter shafts on mixers, agitators, reactors and blenders. It can be installed without dismantling equipment. The split seal faces are balanced and covered with split O-rings to suit a range of equipment and housing configurations.
Seal support system
The thermosiphon provides lubrication, dissipates heat and maintains temperature and the required pressure gradient across seal faces in double-back-to-back and tandem seal arrangements for pumps and agitators. Plan 52 and 53A configurations are available; reservoir instrumentation and construction can be adapted to application requirements.
